The trigger is crisp when not set, very light and crisp when set. Mechanics:В The action functions correctly. Overall, the rifle is in Good-Very Good condition as modified. The screw heads are tool marked with strong slots. There is some scattered residue from the stock finish. The plastic trigger guard/magazine well assembly has cracks to each side of its front and rear mounting screws (there is also a mold-seam to the front and rear of the front mounting screw), this is common with this model. There is a small but notable ding on the top-left of the barrel in front of the rear sight and another on the top-rear of the receiver at the edge of the bolt handle-slot. The muzzle brake has scattered discoloration. There are some scattered light nicks, scuffs and scratches. Overall Condition:В This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. There is scattered light erosion in the bore. Overall, the stock is in Very Good condition as refinished.Д«ore Condition:В The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is well defined. The pad has wear around the edges, most notable at the right of the heel and some small losses at the toe, but is still supple. The LOP measures 13вЂќ and 12 1/8вЂі from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the wood. The LOP measures 14 1/8вЂі and 13 1/4вЂќ from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the pad. The checkering is well defined, generally sharp. There are some spots of pooled finish, most in the checkering, and there are areas of thinning finish. The stock has a few scattered light nicks, scuffs and scratches with one more notable ding on the left under the receiver. Stock Configuration & Condition:В The stock is skip-line checkered walnut with wood nose and grip caps, inlaid white diamond on the grip cap, QD sling sockets front and rear, monte-carlo comb with cheekpiece and black rubber Kick-Eez buttpad. Visible through the socket in the front mount is a drilled and tapped hole in the top of the receiver. The holes for mounting the bases with screws have also been filled with weld. The top of the receiver has had two-piece Leupold-style bases welded in place. There is a dovetail base at the rear of the barrel, but no rear sight is present. The base is grooved for a hood, but none is present. Sights / Optics:В The front sight is a blade pinned into a serrated ramp base that is fixed to the barrel the sight is hinged on the pin and is spring loaded, adjustable for elevation via a turn wheel. The bolt is marked вЂњ27.04.015вЂќ and the bolt cap is marked вЂњвЂќ, the underside of the bolt handle is marked вЂњ89вЂќ with two proof marks and вЂњ179вЂќ date code. The left side of the receiver is marked with the company logo and вЂњSTEYR-MANNLICHER-SвЂќ, the right is marked вЂњMADE IN AUSTRIAвЂќ, with the serial number, two proof marks, and вЂњ179вЂќ date code.
